Chinchilla Creative Arts Weekend

Being a part of a small town is truly a unique and amazing experience. The sense of community and togetherness is something that can't be easily replicated in a larger city. In a small town, there's a special spirit of getting creative and coming together to make things happen. The creativity and innovation in a small town is truly inspiring. The close-knit nature allows for collaboration and the opportunity to make a real impact. It's a place where everyone knows each other and is willing to lend a helping hand. The possibilities are endless, and the sense of camaraderie makes the experience truly special.

It was through this that I was thrilled to be invited by the Chinchilla Rotary Club to be a part of the Creative Arts Weekend. I had the opportunity to teach experienced sewers how to hand-sew a simple elephant plushy. It was such a fun and inspiring experience as we all laughed and learned new techniques together. The best part was seeing how much everyone loved what they finished sewing. The sense of community and creativity truly made the event special. I could not have asked for a better experience and I am looking forward to more opportunities like this in the future.

Thank you so much to Helen for organising this incredible two-day event, not only did every single person enjoy what they made but we had so many other people come over and comment on everyone's creations. One thing is for sure, people don't want this an annual event, we want it as often as possible! Thank you Chinchilla Rotary Club for everything you have done for us all this weekend. It has inspired many to be creative, and given businesses like me exposure. Thanks again!
