Molly and Mama Coco Flower Crown Pattern Review for One Thimble Sewing E-Zine Issue 8

You know that feeling you get when you head out with your products to a new potential client, those pesky butterflies and sweaty palms make an appearance and you're sure you've left something important behind. And not to mention reminding yourself to keep your nervous high pitched vocal tones at a normal and appropriate key.

Well that was all ridiculous because when I first knocked on Lauren's door at Molly and Mama in Toowoomba and invited me in, I was met with such a warm and welcoming smile.

We all know that when you meet another sewing enthusiast we are all the same. Bright, kind, inviting and not to mention inspiring! We talked for well over an hour just about everything else but what I was actually there for, and found we have a mutual friend.

Now I could keep going on about this little encounter but I really need to get onto this beautiful pattern I was asked to review for Molly and Mama.

This is my first pattern review and I was so honoured to be a part of this. I have already made quite a few of her beautiful Felt Flower Crowns so I knew exactly what to expect with this new one.

I carefully selected the colours of 100% Merino Wool Felt which is sold in store (you can read more about these colours and how you can purchase them at the bottom of this review). I cut out these pieces shown above using the Freezer Paper method, which I must admit was hard for me because I'm a little spoilt... I own a Brother Scan N Cut. Oh my that machine is amazing, and if you follow me on my social networks then you'll already know how insanely addicted I am. But I was away on a family holiday, so I was happy to quietly cut these out whilst the children family played together in the background.

As you can see within minutes I had these whipped up. Lauren's instructions are very simple and very easy to understand. Plus a huge added bonus with pictures demonstrating how she's put them together.

Not long after I had this beautiful flower created using her same methods as described in her Felt Flower Crown with a very cute little roll of felt in the middle. It really was so beautiful!

When I got home, I was able to add the sewing patterns onto the Brother ScanNCut with ease and in no time I had the rest of the collection cut out and assembled into this heavenly crown. You really could just keep going and creating many different versions in beautiful warm colours, the designs are endless.

The Brother ScanNCut has an amazing saying 'The only Limit is your Imagination' and this truly applies to this pattern. Lauren gives you the pattern of flower and succulent designs and it's up to you how you put them together. Above is the wristlet version, just darling isn't it?

And finally, Coco Felt Flower Crown in action. My beautiful daughter was only too happy to wear this, and she definitely shows how pleased she is with mummies new creation.

All of the designs are just stunning and I had so much pleasure being able to make these and show them to you.

This pattern and many other new designs are going to be featured in this months One Thimble Sewing E-Zine which will be released on the 14th of August.

Now for the fun part! In this review I have used the 100% Merino Wool Felt sold in my store at www.rosepetalcollections.com. For all my amazing fans and those who purchase the E-Zine I've decided to create a special listing in my online store where you can purchase the exact colours used in this review. Click on this link to view the listing and get a head start on collecting your materials for this project. Also if you're curious about which colours they are, it will be detailed in the listing.

Once again, thank you Lauren from Molly and Mama for sharing your precious new designs with me. I just loved them and can't wait for the rest of the world to create these as well.
